THE ORIGIN

It started young. The band at my family's church had a saxophonist, and I distinctly remember marveling at his playing, thinking to myself, "I could never learn what all those buttons do..." The pull was magnetic. When I  formally picked it up as a 5th grader, it wasn't hard for me to put in the hours to build skill.

MUSICAL EXPERIENCE

I've played instruments in front of audiences for over 25 years (yes, at age 5!), performing solo, in concert bands, jazz bands, and rock bands (The Violet Nines; Airlands). I have a passion for drawing energy from crowds and giving it back twofold, and I've found joy in performing for crowds from 1 to 1,000 (if you know of a way to get in front of a bigger crowd, I'm all ears!!).

LIFE LATELY

In 2021, I stumbled into a wonderful community of creative DJs and built strong partnerships to offer DJ / saxophone duo offerings at weddings and events. Now in its third season, I'm excitedly booking for the 4th season in 2024!

When I'm not playing music, I work with my wife to operate and grow our independent financial planning business, Abundance Wealth Management. We both enjoy taking trips to the mountains to hike in the summer and ski in the winter. She's slowly turning me into a beach guy, too... I'm also an aspiring horseman and have been learning for the last 4 years since we bought our first horse!
